Before Universal CodeBox
Since beginning his teaching journey in 2018, Vikas Dwivedi has dedicated his career to empowering students with industry-relevant technology skills. Over the years, he has trained engineering graduates and aspiring professionals in Artificial Intelligence, Data Structures & Algorithms, MERN Stack, and Data Analytics through practical, project-based learning. His experience also includes conducting technical interviews and evaluating talent as part of recruitment processes, providing deep insights into industry hiring expectations. Alongside education, he has contributed to cyber security initiatives, strengthening his expertise across multiple domains of technology. This diverse professional experience laid the foundation for building Universal CodeBox with a strong focus on practical learning and career outcomes.

How it came together
Highly Passionate about Delivering the knowledge to the generation.
2018
The first classroom
Got Selected as Head Faculty in a reputed Institute of Kanpur, teaching DSA, MERN Stack in. The lesson that stuck was that how a topic is taught matters far more than how well it is written down.
2022
Teaching at institute scale
Trainer roles at three well known corporates. Bigger institutes and better material, but the same ceiling: once a batch grows past a point, the personal part of teaching is the first thing to go.
2019
Faculty, then senior faculty
Close to four years at another Multi National Company, first as Computer Science faculty and then as Senior IT Faculty. Long enough to see the same handful of gaps stop learners in every single batch.
2023
Universal CodeBox
Founded in May 2023 to keep what works in a good classroom — live teaching, close mentorship, honest feedback — and hand the rest to a platform: recordings, notes, projects, and certificates anyone can verify.
The hard parts
None of it was smooth. These were the problems that shaped the platform more than any plan did.
Teaching that fits in a room
Seven years of classroom work had a hard ceiling — how many learners fit in the room, and who could physically reach it. Lifting that limit without losing the attention a small room gives you was the first problem to solve.
What a certificate does not prove
Working on live security cases showed how far a completed syllabus can sit from what the work actually asks for. Building project reviews and assessments that close that gap took longer than building the courses.
Building the tooling in-house
Classes, notes, assessments, fees and certificates had to behave as one system. Stitched-together third-party tools kept breaking, so the platform was built rather than assembled.
